SABC APPLY FOR ADMISSION

Entrance Requirements

GENERAL

Candidates who seek admission to SABC must have:

  • completed 21 years of age by 31st March in the year of application.
  • a definite Christian experience.
  • a clear conviction that they are called to God’s service.
  • a desire and willingness to be prepared for effective Christian ministry.
  • a reasonable proficiency in the English language.

ACADEMIC PRE-REQUISITES

Applicants for the M.A or M.Div. degrees must qualify under any one of the following categories:

  • be a graduate of a recognised university.
    • While candidates who have completed their degrees are preferred, those who are in the final year of studies or awaiting results may also apply. Such candidates will have to produce the mark sheets for all the previous years/semesters of study.
    • If admitted they should produce proof of successful completion before the end of the first semester.
  • B. Th graduates from accredited/affiliated colleges who have a minimum of one year of practical ministry experience after graduation may also be considered for admission to the M.Div programme, provided the nature of their ministry requires it.
    • They could be considered for the M.Div. upgrade (2 years) if they have a minimum of B grade in their B.Th.
    • Those who are from non-accredited colleges and those with less than a B grade will be required to do three years.
  • Candidates who are above 30 years of age and who do not have tbe necessary academic requirements, may apply as Mature Candidates. They will be required to pass an entrance examination. When admitted, such candidates will be on academic probation during the first year of Study.

Applying to SABC

Kindly prepare the following documents before beginning the application process:

  1. Please scan all academic certificates and mark sheets:
    • Class 10
    • Class 12 / +2 / P.U.C.
    • Bachelor’s degree (if you are in the final year/semester of your studies, please scan all your mark sheets of the previous years/semesters.
    • Without these, your application will not be processed.
  2. Those who have completed any theological degrees, please request your college/seminary to send your official transcript directly to the Director of Admissions.
  3. Download the Reference, Medical, and Scholarship forms from HERE.
    • The Pastor’s Reference and the General Reference 1 and 2 Forms should be filled by your pastor and two other individuals who are recommending you for admission at SABC. These should not be your relatives.
    • The Medical Form should be filled out by a registered medical practitioner.
    • Please note Non-disclosure of history of past illnesses and medications shall be considered as a breach of trust and will lead to cancellation of admission.
    • Please write a detailed Personal Testimony in your own words in about 500 words. Include details about your conversion experience, the encouragement you have received from family members and friends for ministry and how you feel SABC would help fulfil your call.
    • Read carefully the Financial Information Sheet. Then, kindly have the Financial Guarantee Form filled and signed with the official seal by the sponsoring church/agency/organization.
    • If your parents are responsible for paying your fees, have them sign the form.
    • Have all these filled-in forms scanned in PDF format and ready for upload.
  4. Have a recent passport picture in digital format (JPEG)

  • Now you are ready to begin the ONLINE APPlICATION PROCESS.
  • Click on the link at the bottom of the page to begin the Online Application. 
  • Please upload the correct relevant documents as they are required.
  • Please remember to save the form as often as possible.
  • You will be required to pay the application processing fee of Rs. 800.00 before you submit the form. You may use credit/debit card, net banking or UPI payment to complete the payment and then submit the form.
  • The last date for application with a late fee is March 29, 2024
