CGLD School of Counselling

Master of Science in

Counselling Psychology

This two-year Master of Science in Counselling Psychology programme is made possible by our collaborative partnership with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU). MLCU has approved the Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology offered by the CGLD School of Counselling as eligibility to be admitted to the university’s M.Sc. programme as a lateral entry candidate.

Therefore, those who complete the PG Diploma at the CGLD School of Counselling will be guided to complete the M.Sc. Counselling Psychology programme.

The PG Diploma may be taken in either the residential or distance learning (blended learning) mode.

The programme blends both theory and skill development through efficient online content delivery and synchronous engagement and internship. The unique integration of theology and psychology prepares the students to serve at the cutting edge of the counselling practice with passion and deep commitment.

Salient Features:

  • This programme offered both in Residential as well as Online mode makes it ideal for full-time students as well as pastors, working professionals and others who are unable to join a regular residential program.
  • Intermittent Exit Options afford the convenience to complete the programme at Certificate and Diploma levels.
  • Course specialisation is achieved through elective courses, additional seminars and workshops.
  • Courses facilitated by qualified and experienced faculty.
  • Integration of psychology and Christian theology brings a unique blend that makes it grounded in sound theory and practice.
  • Upon completion of the PG Diploma (1 year), students will be guided to complete the Master of Science (M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology) in one year (as lateral entry candidates) through Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, Meghalaya.
